So I come home to find a package on my doorstep. I was expecting some very large paintings and found this: (click for larger pic)
Then, after opening the package I found that the deliveryperson had broken not only the frames in a few places but also tore open the backing paper. The actual canvases are OK, but do have a few dings in them:
I can remember a time when the deliveryperson would leave a note if you were not home and take the package to the local post office for pickup later, or would try again at some point. I’ve caught UPS and other deliverypeople running back to their vehicles after ringing the doorbell and literally stuffing envelopes or small packages under my doormat, without even waiting to see if I was home.
This is ridiculous. I wonder if there’s insurance on these?
Either way, how did this happen? Did they literally give no shit AT ALL about doing their job?
