So, I spent my first full week in WAR since its official release on Sept. 18 and a lot has happened since our last update. WAR has supposedly gotten 500k subscribers in its first few weeks. This is pretty impressive and really sets the game off to a good start. But as with any game, or anything else for that matter, there are ups and downs.
Server Populations
Ups: There are lots of people playing initially which is great. Starting zones are booming with people and activity. And with that comes the ever so timely topic of server selection that we discussed on episode 2.
Downs: The first server that my guild, Casualties of WAR, picked ended up being one of the most overpopulated servers and had huge 600+ queues even before the official release.
So I was able to roll up my Chaos Zealot, as planned, but didn't get to play her much. The guild made the tough decision to make the move to a lower population server. It was a good move however, and I was able to re-roll and play again with the guild. Instead of starting the Zealot again, I rolled a Sorceress and have been enjoying her alot.
